The size‐Ramsey number of short subdivisions

چکیده
The $r$-size-Ramsey number $\hat{R}_r(H)$ of a graph $H$ is the smallest edges $G$ can have, such that for every edge-coloring with $r$ colors there exists monochromatic copy in $G$. notion size-Ramsey numbers has been introduced by Erdős, Faudree, Rousseau and Schelp 1978, attracted lot attention ever since. For $H$, we denote $H^q$ obtained from subdividing its $q{-}1$ vertices each. In recent paper Kohayakawa, Retter R{o}dl, it shown all constant integers $q,r\geq 2$ on $n$ bounded maximum degree, at most $(\log n)^{20(q-1)}n^{1+1/q}$, large enough. We improve upon this result using significantly shorter argument showing $\hat{R}_r(H^q)\leq O(n^{1+1/q})$ any $H$.

5 For graphs G and F , write G → (F )` if any coloring of the edges of G with ` colors yields 6 a monochromatic copy of the graph F . Let positive integers h and d be given. Suppose S 7 is obtained from a graph S with s vertices and maximum degree d by subdividing its edges h 8 times (that is, by replacing the edges of S by paths of length h+ 1). We prove that there exits 9 a graph G with no mo...
متن کاملThe effect of prenatal restraint stress on the number and size of neurons in the rat hippocampal subdivisions
Animal studies have shown that prenatal stress is able to induce long-lasting neurobiological and behavioral alterations in adult offspring. In spite of the facts that hippocampus is sensitive to early developmental influences and its known functional importance in learning and memory, few data are available on the effect of prenatal stress on the structure of hippocampus. Therefore, this study...

متن کاملThe changing number of cells in the human fetal forebrain and its subdivisions: a stereological analysis.
The total number of cells--including both neurons and glial cells - was estimated in the neocortical part of the human fetal telencephalon in 22 normal brains within four major developmental zones: the cortical plate/marginal zone, the subplate, the intermediate zone and the ventricular/subventricular zone. The fetal ages ranged from 13 to 41 weeks of gestation. The cellular growth in the human...
